This Privacy Policy explains what information Beauty and Style Blog collects when you visit www.beautyandstyleblog.com, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. If you have a question about your information, email us at [email protected].
Information We Collect
Information you give us. When you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. When you leave a comment, WordPress stores the name and email address you enter, your comment, your IP address and your browser type.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our server keeps standard log files with your IP address, browser type, the pages you visited, the referring page and the date and time of your visit. Our analytics provider also collects information through cookies and similar technologies, as described below.
We do not sell products, run a shop or take payments on this site, so we never ask for payment details.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Beauty and Style Blog uses cookies set by WordPress itself and by the services listed below. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though some features such as remembering your comment details will not.
Comments
If you leave a comment, you can choose to save your name and email in cookies so you do not have to enter them again. These cookies last one year. Comments are checked for spam by Antispam Bee, which runs on our own server and does not send your data to an outside service.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand which articles readers find useful, how they reach the site and which devices they use. The analytics script is served from our own server, and the measurements are sent to Google. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives your IP address, browser and device details, and the pages you view. We use these reports only in aggregate to improve our content. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
Beauty and Style Blog does not currently show ads. If we add an advertising partner in the future, we will name it here before its ads appear. Advertising partners and other third-party vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits; you can opt out of many interest-based ads at aboutads.info (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (EU and UK), and turn off personalized Google ads in Google Ad Settings. Ads will always be kept separate from our articles and will never decide what we write about.
Sharing buttons
Our share buttons (Social Warfare) let you share an article on Pinterest, Facebook, X and other networks. They are served from our own site; when you click one, you go to that network, and its own privacy policy applies to what you do there.
Embedded content
Some articles may include embedded content such as videos or social media posts. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you visited the other website, which may collect data about you, use cookies and track your interaction with it.
How We Use Your Information
- To reply to your emails and handle corrections, image credit or removal requests and partnership enquiries.
- To publish and moderate comments and keep spam off the site.
- To understand which content is useful and improve the site.
- To keep the site secure and working, including caching pages with LiteSpeed Cache so they load quickly.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the services described above (Google and our web host) so they can provide their service to us, or when the law requires it.
How Long We Keep Information
Comments and their metadata are kept for as long as the comment is published so follow-up comments can be recognized and approved. Emails are kept for as long as we need them to answer you and keep a record of requests we have handled. Analytics data is kept by Google under its own retention settings.
Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, the UK or US states such as California), you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or limit how it is used, and to opt out of personalized advertising. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will answer within the time the law allows and will not treat you differently for asking. You can also ask us to remove a comment you left.
Children's Privacy
Beauty and Style Blog is written for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
Security
The site runs over a secure HTTPS connection, and access to our WordPress dashboard is limited to our team. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to Other Websites
Our articles link to creators, salons, shops and other websites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own, so please read their policies before you share information with them.
Changes to This Policy
We update this policy when the services we use change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and changes take effect when they are posted here.
